Spend 2025 spiritually alive!
Exercise, lose weight, get organized, create a budget, join a club, or start a new hobby. The usual list of resolutions goes on and on. Here is a better question: What would you like to see God do in 2025? If you have a sense of anticipation, then focus your energies on doing some strategic planning that will give you kingdom-minded purpose. Through the use of His Holy Spirit and the testimony of transformed believers, God will lead people to surrender, see forgiveness, and make His Son Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior throughout 2025. This will happen through loving relationships between those who know Christ and those who need to know Christ! The question is, “Will your life be a part of His plan?” Unless your life is truly surrendered to God’s will rather than sidelined by the myriads of Satan’s distractions, you’ll miss these opportunities! He is moving in supernatural ways and will absolutely continue to do so with or without you! Do not miss the joy of participating in the beautiful reality He will make available to all believers in 2025!
This is exactly the description that Paul gives in Romans 6:1-14 concerning a Christian’s new life. A person was dead, and now he’s alive. Paul coined the little phrase “alive from the dead” in Romans 6:13. The Christian life is a resurrected life. It is a new life built upon surrender and a life of truth, excitement, and genuine fulfillment! Here are some goals to help provide a framework for your strategic plans in 2025.
First, stop being dead in sin. This is how Scripture describes a person separated from God…spiritually dead. The spiritually dead person has no fellowship, love, or experience with God…senseless. In Ephesians 2:1-7, Paul says, “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins in which you previously walked according to this worldly age, according to the ruler of the atmospheric domain, the spirit now working in the disobedient. We too all previously lived among them in our fleshly desires, carrying out the inclinations of our flesh and thoughts, and by nature we were children under wrath, as the others were also. But God, who is abundant in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us, made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. By grace you are saved! He also raised us with Him and seated us with Him in the heavens, in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages He might display the immeasurable riches of His grace in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” In Christ, our lives have so much to offer, including aim, purpose, and direction.
Second, become dead to sin. Once we change from being dead in sin to redeemed, we can then strive to be dead to sin. Address the sins that are controlling your life. Jesus said, “I assure you: Anyone who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment but has passed from death to life.” (John 5:24). If you remove those things that cause you to stumble, it will increase your potential to serve God with purpose in the new year! When you remove the barriers, you can then pursue holy ambitions and purposes. Paul in Romans 6:11 says, “So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” In 2025, you can no longer be dominated by the pressures of this world!
Third, express a worshipful life for God. Look back at Romans 6:11. Here is a person who had no purpose but now has an aim and a motivation for living. He was dead in sin; now he is dead to sin. Having moved from death to life, he is now truly able to live for God. So, how is 2025 going to be different? Your life has been transformed, so act like you have been raised from the dead! You have joy and excitement that can permeate every relationship and every action! Define the relationships God has given you to build upon in 2025. Make a plan and share your testimony with them out of the overflow of your joy and excitement! Enjoy your partnership with the creative purposes of God. Yours is a changed life! It is the story of the stirring of your spiritual self, coming alive in Jesus! And the dying world around you needs to hear that glorious, supernatural story! Skip the nonsense that has no meaning and experience all that God has in store for 2025!
