RESOLUTION #2024C – CALL TO LIVING ACCORDING TO THE WORD

Whereas, our churches continue to minister in a society that is consistently moving away from biblical principles; and

Whereas, the Word of God calls us to action, being doers of the Word and not hearers only (James 1:22-23).

Whereas, The Word of God calls us to care for the vulnerable (James 1:27) and to impartiality (Deuteronomy 10:17-19).

Whereas, The Word of God calls us to expand the kingdom of God through missions, evangelism, and church planting,

Whereas, the principles of prayer and humility of seeking God are still withstanding (2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalm 51:17); now, therefore be it

Resolved, the churches of Pottawatomie-Lincoln Baptist Association (PLBA):

                  1. commit to actively humble ourselves, repent, pray, and seek the face of God

                2. commit to actively seeking and hearing the voice of the Lord in His Word

                3. commit to actively being doers of the Word

                4. commit to actively cooperate within our association to expand the Kingdom;

                5. commit to be ready for the return of Jesus Christ.
